Gas prices in Butler continue to increase, according to AAA’s weekly gas price report.
The average price for a gallon of regular, unleaded, self-serve gas in Butler this week is $2.59. That’s a three-cent per gallon increase over the average price last week, and a 35-cent increase in just one month.
As for western Pennsylvania as a whole, prices are averaging $2.68 per gallon, with a high of $2.75 in Warren and a low of $2.55 in New Castle, according to AAA.
The national price of gas has increased nearly 20 cents since the beginning of the year to $2.42, but that is still 10 cents cheaper than prices were one year ago.
