Butler County got snow on Sunday, just not as much as was originally expected.
A Winter Weather Advisory went into effect in the county at 11 a.m. Sunday with initial expectations of 2 to 6 inches of snow to fall, according to the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh.
Once the snow began, there were some slick conditions on local roads. Several accidents were reported to the Butler County 911 Center, most of them minor.
When the weather system was all said and done, Butler County received between 2 and 3 inches in most spots.
No accumulating snow is forecasted for this week, but cold temperatures are. Monday’s low is expected to be near the single digits.
