Junior Melissa Lynskey of the Lafayette women’s soccer team was named the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday afternoon. Lynskey is a Seneca Valley high school graduate.

The Cranberry Township native, having played defense her freshman year and defensive midfield her sophomore season, is adjusting well to the move forward, scoring in each of her first two games this season. Her first score proved to be the game-winner in the season opener, a 1-0 victory at Delaware State on Aug. 21st.
