A federal judge has denied the request of a developer to revisit the bidding process for the new VA Butler Healthcare Center in Center Township.
Controversy has surrounded the new healthcare center for years. Oxford Development wishes to build the center at a site in Butler Township, which was the original site of the project when it first began. But, Cambridge Healthcare Solutions was awarded a contract by the VA last year and is scheduled to build the center at a new site in Center Township.
The recent ruling is in favor of Cambridge and says the government does not need to rebid the project. Oxford has 60 days to appeal the decision.
