Thanks to a state grant, Butler Township will be able to do some work inside Preston Park- including adding public restrooms.
The project will also include other improvements- ADA accessibility, construction of pedestrian walkways and landscaping.
The $180,000 grant comes from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and required a $180,000 match from Butler Township.
Butler Township Manager Tom Knights said Thursday cleanup efforts continue at Preston Park following last November’s ice storm. He hopes to reopen the park to the public next month.
