The rehabilitation of Butler’s Memorial Park is moving forward.
An $80,000 project is planned, which includes the renovation and installation of new playground equipment; new pedestrian walkways; ADA accessibility; and landscaping.
According to Butler County Parks and Recreation Director Lance Welliver, the city received a $40,000 grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources for the work, which required a $40,000 match from the city.
The Butler County commissioners approved the work at their meeting on Wednesday.
