A local municipality has received statewide recognition.
Cranberry Township was awarded the Platinum Certificate by the PA Municipal League and Sustainable Pittsburgh.
This highest honor was only presented to one other municipality in the state and is given in recognition of sustainability practices, such as community design and land use, energy efficiency, health and wellness, fiscal controls, and recycling and waste reduction.
Cranberry previously earned Gold Certification through this program.
