A 65-year-old Mercer man was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital after he was hit by a vehicle.
According to State Police in Mercer, Dennis Birch of Mercer was walking along Stonepile Road Monday morning around 6:30 a.m. when a driver traveling north clipped Birch with the front left corner of his vehicle.
Birch was taken to Grove City medical Center and then flown to Allegheny General Hospital.
Police did not say if the driver (41-year-old Jamie Hess of New Wilmington) was charged.
