Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane is expected to publicly respond to criminal charges against her.
A spokesman said Kane will make a statement and answer reporters’ questions at a news conference Wednesday at the state Capitol in Harrisburg.
The spokesman reiterated that Kane does not intend to resign, despite calls for her to step down by a growing number of Democrats, including Governor Tom Wolf.
The 49-year-old is charged with leaking secret grand jury information and lying about it under oath. She was arraigned Saturday. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 24th.
