The Prospect League Playoffs are officially underway.
On the East Division side, the West Virginia Miners and the Chillicothe Paints are tied at one game a piece. Game Three, which will decide who represents the division in the championship series, will be played Sunday afternoon in West Virginia. The series winner will face the Terre Haute Rex, who swept the Danville Dans in the West Division. The championship series, which is a best of three series, will begin on Tuesday.
To qualify for the Prospect League Playoffs, a team has to have the best record for either the first or second half of the season for their division (East or west). If the same team finishes in first both times, the next team with the best overall record makes the playoffs. The BlueSox were eliminated from playoff contention just before their final home game on Wednesday.
