A former Butler Media Group intern and Butler High School grad has been awarded a substantial national scholarship.
Matt Cole of Butler was presented with a $10,000 scholarship this week to be used towards funding his education. The money was funded by music licensing company SESAC and the International Broadcasters’ Idea Bank. Cole is a senior at Otterbein University in Columbus, Ohio studying radio broadcasting and music.
“I was ecstatic,” Cole told our newsroom. “Blown away.”
He interned with us in the summer of 2014. He’s scheduled to graduate in the Spring 2016.
