The Butler Area School Board may find out tonight how much they can expect to sell their four vacant school buildings for.
Two appraisers are expected to present the board with figures on the former Broad Street, Clearfield, Meridian and Oakland elementary schools. The board voted earlier this year to close five schools, but the former Center Avenue Elementary will be re-opened as an alternative school.
The board authorized the district to pay about $18,000 to have the appraisals done. The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the district administration building.
