The Butler BlueSox defeated the Kokomo Jackrabbits 5-3 last night before over 800 fans. Butler native Tyler Slepski won his final start of the season, allowing one earned run over eight innings. He gave up just four hits, walking three while striking out six. Slepski improved his record to 6-1 this season, and ends with a 2.58 ERA. Closer Zach Spangler picked up his 19th save of the year. The BlueSox close their home schedule tonight at 6:35pm against Richmond, before their final game of the season tomorrow night on the road at Champion City.
The BlueSox post-season bid officially ended last night when Chillicothe defeated Terre Haute 5-4 and the Paints clinched the Eastern Division second half title.
