A Cranberry Township EMS employee has been arrested for allegedly hiding a camera in a women’s bathroom.
Matthew Leonard, 37, of Cranberry was charged Tuesday and has since been suspended from his job without pay.
Police were initially called to the Cranberry Township EMS Station on Route 19 on Jan. 24 after a female employee discovered a cellular device in the women’s restroom, according to court documents.
“The phone was partially concealed on the floor behind a trash can in the bathroom, with the camera of the device extended past the trash can, pointed at the toilet,” according to the complaint.
When police confronted Leonard, he allegedly confessed to placing the phone in the bathroom and using a file transfer service to send the videos to his computer. Authorities say at least four women were recorded.
