Central Electric Cooperative members are asked to conserve energy again Wednesday.
A Peak Alert is in effect for all CEC customers until 6 p.m. because of today’s hot and humid weather. This is the second Peak Alert Day in a row.
You’re asked to conserve energy by turning off all non-essential electric items especially lighting, dehumidifiers, pool pumps and setting your air conditioner to a minimum of 78 degrees.
CEC anticipates a demand peak from noon until 6 p.m.
The cooperative serves a portion of Butler County.
