Butler County residents woke up to bitterly cold temperatures on Thursday morning.
It was 7 below zero at 6 a.m. in the city of Butler, and the wind made it feel even colder, as low as –24. It’s not warming up too much today, with a high of only 7 expected. Tonight’s low will be 0, with wind chill values as low as –9.
The National Weather Service is expecting some light snow to fall late tonight, leaving one to two inches behind by Friday morning.
Once we get to the weekend, we get a break in the temperatures. A high near 40 on Saturday, and near 50 on Sunday.
