The Butler BlueSox were shut-out by the Richmond RiverRats 7-0 last night. RiverRats starting pitcher Cory Craig pitched a complete game, allowing Butler just seven hits. He did not walk a batter and struck out six. BlueSox first baseman David Marcus had two hits and is batting .370 which leads the league. He continues to hold all three Triple Crown categories with just over a dozen games remaining. The Sox lost ground in the Prospect League Eastern Division as well, with Chillicothe now leading Butler by 1-1/2 games. The Paints defeated West Virginia 5-1 last night. The BlueSox will host West Virginia the next two nights. Tonight’s game begins at 6:35pm. All fans in attendance receive a Labatt Blue t-shirt. Tomorrow’s game will be followed by fireworks and begins at 7:05pm.
