Someone tried breaking in a home on Vance road New Wilmington, PA just before the midnight hour Tuesday night. The victim told police someone tried opening their locked front door. From there the home owner said the dog starting barking leading to them turning the lights on. the suspect then ran to the back door. They then tried breaking through the back door, which was locked. The house alarm was triggered. The suspect later tried breaking into the home owner’s car twice, both time triggering the car alarm. After the second time the car alarm was set off, the suspect fled in an unknown direction. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Mercer based state police.
