When the Sprint Cup Series returns to Indianapolis Motor Speedway next week, Jeff Kyle – a decorated Marine veteran who served for eight years, and completed multiple tours of duty in Iraq and Africa – will be honored by having his name officially connected to the race name at “The Brickyard.” Kyle is the winner of Crown Royal’s annual “Your Hero’s Name Here” program, which awards naming rights to Indy’s annual Sprint Cup Series race to a deserving American hero. The official name of the July 26th race is the “Crown Royal Presents the Jeff Kyle 400 at The Brickyard.”
NASCAR haulers will roll into New Hampshire Motor Speedway today as preparations continue for the weekend’s Sprint Cup/X-FINITY Series doubleheader. The first on-track action will come Friday at 11:30 a.m. (ET) with Cup Series practice.
X-FINITY teams will get their first crack at “The Magic Mile” on Friday afternoon at 1 o’clock.
The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series is idle this week and will return to action Wednesday, July 22nd, with the third annual Mudsummer Classic on the half-mile dirt oval at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio owned by Tony Stewart.
