Jordan Spieth prepared for this week’s British Open at St. Andrew by winning the John Deere Classic Sunday in a two-hole playoff over Tom Gillis. Both golfers had tied at 20-under par in regulation. Spieth has won four PGA events this season, and two majors, something that has not been accomplished since Tiger Woods did so in 2013. Spieth struggled in the opening round, but shot a career-low 61 Saturday to put himself in position to have an exciting Sunday. It was the second time Spieth won the John Deere Classic.
