The West Virginia Miners defeated the Butler BlueSox 6-3 last night in the Prospect League. BlueSox starter Connor Coward, who had been the league’s pitcher of the week prior to the All-Star break, allowed five earned runs over five innings and took the loss. It was also the second straight loss for Butler, dropping them two games behind first-place Champion City in the Eastern Division. The Sox have today off and visit Jamestown Tuesday.
