We already told you that Cole Swindell will be stepping up to the plate at the Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, Ohio on Sunday (July 12th), but now he’ll be joined by Justin Moorethere at the 2015 MLB All-Star Legends & Celebrity Softball Game. Justin will take a break from the Crushin’ It World tour with headliner Brad Paisley to try his hand at a new kind of hit making.
Other entertainers who are participating include Snoop Dogg, Jordin Sparks, Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games), Anthony Anderson (ABC’s Black-ish), Nick Lachey, Macklemore, Andy Dalton (Cincinnati Bengals), Jennie Finch (Olympic softball gold medalist), Olivia Holt, and Chad Lowe, to name a few.
Justin said, “I’m stoked to break out the spikes again. Baseball is my favorite sport, and one I’ve played my whole life. I may be a little rusty, but it’s just like riding a bike. Should be fun to get back on the diamond with all the other folks playing.”
In between innings, Justin will host CMT’s Hot 20 Countdown, capturing one-on-one interviews and fun antics with some of the participants. The episode will premiere on Saturday, July 18th at 9 a.m. ET and re-air on July 19th at 9 a.m. ET.
The MLB All-Star Legends & Celebrity Softball Game will be nationally televised by ESPN immediately following the Gilette Home Run Derby presented by Head & Shoulders on Monday (July 13th).
