Pitt and Penn State have each had two players nominated for college football’s Maxwell Award “watch list”, given annually to the best player in the nation. Running back James Conner and wide receiver Tyler Boyd of the Panthers are on the list, along with Nittany Lions quarterback Christian Hackenberg and wide receiver DaeSean Hamilton.
