Grand Ole Opry members Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood made a surprise appearance before a sold-out crowd at the Grand Ole Opry on Friday (June 19th) night. Trisha was introduced by fellow Opry member Vince Gill. She told the crowd, “I didn’t have a chance to bring my band or call them or anything, but luckily I live with a Grand Ole Opry member, so if you all would make welcome my guitar player tonight, my husband, Mr. Garth Brooks!” With Garth on acoustic guitar, Trisha sang her hit “She’s In Love With The Boy.”
Garth and Trisha then collaborated on a medley of some of their favorite classic country duets, including Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn‘s “After The Fire Is Gone”, Jim Ed Brown andHelen Cornelius‘ “I Don’t Want To Have To Marry You”, and George Jones and Tammy Wynette‘s “Golden Ring.”
Garth and Trisha are currently on tour, making their next stop in Houston, Texas on June 26th & 27th.
