Lernerville Speedway will host the World of Outlaws Late Models for the three-day Firecracker 100 event beginning Thursday. Defending track champions Alex Ferree, Carl Bowser and Rex King Jr. all picked up mid-season championship wins Friday. Ferree was the big winner, with an automatic provisional for this weekend’s $1,000-to-start, $30,000-to-win Firecracker finale on Saturday. Joe Kelley won his 49th career race in the Sportsman’s race Friday.
Mercer Raceway Park was forced to cancel Saturday Night Live racing again for the ninth time this season. They plan to hold Patriots Night this weekend with Fireworks.
