The Butler BlueSox defeated the Champion City Kings 3-1 last night at Kelly Automotive Park. BlueSox starter Larry Wood took a no-hitter into the eighth inning. He would end up leaving the game in the eighth after allowing three hits and a run. Eli Martin earned his first save of the season. Wood walked two batters in the first inning before striking out the final two batters to get out of the inning. He then retired 12 straight Champion City batters and 18 of the next 19. Butler BlueSox Butler will visit the West Virginia Miners the next two evenings. They return home to host first-place Jamestown Saturday and Sunday. The Sox will be on the road for eight of their next ten games.//
