The story behind a well-known local park is the topic of a presentation to be given later this week.
Local storyteller Bill May will present “The History of McConnell’s Mill” at the Butler YWCA beginning at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
May will discuss the fascinating and heartwarming story of the Civil War captain and the freed slave who worked together to create the legacy that is now McConnell’s Mill State Park.
