The Pens were 2-of-3 on the power play, and held Boston 0-for-2. It was the first time since December 1st and 2nd that the Pens put together back-to-back victories. The Pens moved into the final Eastern Conference playoff spot by one point over Carolina, who lost to the Bruins 7-1 Saturday.
Defenseman Ian Cole was a healthy scratch for the fifth time this season.
The Pens are off until back-to-back games this weekend. They will host Detroit Saturday afternoon at 1:05pm, then host the New York Rangers Sunday night.
