Another student escaped from a Butler County juvenile detention center over the weekend.
A 17-year-old boy took off from Summit Academy in Summit Township about 1:30 a.m. Saturday.
It’s unclear how the boy was able to escape. An alert was sent to nearby residents with the student’s description. He was described as a white male, about five-foot-six and 200-pounds.
Residents were asked to call police if they spotted him.
Summit Academy is a private, residential program for boys and young men ages 14 to 19 who have committed juvenile and adult criminal offenses.
