Sam Zurzolo won his fourth consecutive term as a Butler Township commissioner and joins Democratic challenger Fred Vero in taking the two open seats.
Vero narrowly defeated incumbent Republican Charles Nedz by 54 votes.
In Center Township, incumbents Phil Wulff and Ed Latuska defeated Don Pringle for the supervisor seats. They will serve six more years on the five-person board.
In Saxonburg, Republican Bill Gillespie defeated Democratic challenger Dave Johnston for mayor. Gillespie was appointed to serve out the term of late Mayor Pam Bauman and will now lead to the borough for four more years.
