Butler Township will soon be getting a new mattress retailer.
The township commissioners approved plans Monday for a new Mattress Warehouse store, which will sit at the corner of New Castle and South Duffy roads, and actually be attached to a building that houses Grand Rental Station and other small businesses.
The existing Skip’s Gold Exchange will be demolished to make way for the new 4,500-square foot structure. The store is set to open in a couple of months.
In other news, plans by Baglier Buick to build an auto detailing shop on Route 8, adjacent to the Comfort Inn, were also approved by the commissioners but that plan still needs to go before the township zoning board for further approval.
