The Pittsburgh Pirates shut out the San Francisco Giants in San Francisco on Saturday, winning by a final of 4-0.
Trevor Williams started on the mound for the Pirates, and pitched seven innings, and gave up five hits while striking out two. Josh Bell led the Pirates offensively, as his three run homer was his second home run in three days. Elias Diaz collected two hits as a replacement for the injured Francisco Cervelli.
The Pirates, who are now 61-57 overall, will wrap up their four game series with the Giants Sunday afternoon in San Francisco. You can catch all of the action, starting with pregame coverage on WISR 680AM. First pitch is scheduled for 4:05pm.
Prior to Saturday’s game, former Pirate and Giant Barry Bonds had his number 25 retired by the Giants. Bonds leads all Major League Baseball players in career home runs with 762.
