The Butler BlueSox defeated the Champion City Kings 6-3 last night before a large crowd. BlueSox starting pitcher Conner Coward struck out nine batters over 6-2/3rds innings. The Sox manufactured six runs despite getting just four hits. Brady Gulakowski hit a three-run home run in the sixth inning to boost Butler. The shot came shortly after the Sox broke a no-hitter up by Champion City starting pitcher Jake Vance, who had a perfect game through five innings. The win was the first in eight games against the Kings this season. The two teams meet again tonight at 6:35pm.
