The Butler BlueSox defeated the West Virginia Miners 4-3 last night. The Sox pounded 13 hits in the game. It was Butler’s fourth victory in a row, and they have moved into third place in the Prospect League Eastern Division, 2-1/2 games behind first-place Chillicothe. The Sox meet the Miners again tonight before returning home to host Kokomo Thursday and Friday.
BlueSox shortstop James Meeker had four hits last night, and is batting .380 this season. Butler is 6-2 this season against West Virginia.
