Three people were arrested in connection with an armed robbery of a Butler woman.
Police say their weapon of a choice was a machete.
Tiffany Crawford, Michelle Kaiser and Anthony Perez, all of Butler, are being held in the Butler County Prison.
Kaiser is accused of asking the victim to come over to her West Wayne Street apartment early Monday to pick up a television that she had loaned. But police allege it was a setup.
When the victim entered the apartment, a machete was lodged against her throat, as well as a knife. Crawford and Perez were allegedly holding the weapons. The trio did initially steal $200 from the victim but were apprehended a short time later.
Police say the Butler woman had multiple lacerations on her throat and arm. She was treated at Butler Memorial.
The motive for the robbery is unclear.
