The Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the Ottawa Senators 1-0 last night in game two of their Stanley Cup Playoff Series. Phil Kessel scored the only goal of the game in the third period for the Pens, who evened the best-of-seven series at 1-1. Penguins goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury stopped all 23 shots on goal from the Senators. It was Fleury’s second shutout in three games.
The Penguins played without winger Patric Hornqvist, who was a pre-game scratch, then lost winger Bryan Rust to an injury, along with defenseman Justin Schultz in the first period of the game.
Game three will be played in Ottawa Wednesday.
