Two local municipalities will get help from the state in order to make upgrades to traffic signals.
According to State Senator Scott Hutchinson, Cranberry Township will receive over $612,000 to upgrade three traffic signals along Route 19 at St. Francis Way. Cranberry has also been awarded over $138,000 to install adaptive traffic signal equipment and software along the Route 19 corridor.
Connoquenessing Township will receive $160,000 for traffic signal upgrades along Route 68 at Kriess Road and Eagle Mill Road.
94 municipalities across the state will share $33 million as part of the current round of Green Light-Go funding. This Pennsylvania program provides for installing new technology to improve traffic signals.
