A Butler man is facing charges after he allegedly tried to steal money.
According to the Butler Twp Police, a 56-year-old woman was smoking outside of the Lyndora Hotel Thursday around 4:30 p.m. when 22-year-old Charles Perkins ripped cash out of her hand.
Perkins then fled into a brushy wooded area before being taken into custody near Pullman Square. No injuries to Perkins or the victim were reported.
Perkins was booked into the Butler County Prison on charges or robbery and receiving stolen property.
