The Pittsburgh Pirates won their third straight Saturday night by shutting out the Miami Marlins 4-0.
Gregory Polanco and Jordy Mercer collected two hits a piece in the win, and John Jaso collected two RBI. Ivan Nova pitched a complete game for the Bucs, and allowed only three hits while striking out seven and not walking a single batter.
With Saturday’s win, the Bucs improve to 11-12 on the 2017 campaign, and are two games back from the first place Chicago Cubs.
The Pirates will look to sweep the Marlins Sunday afternoon, with the first pitch scheduled for 1:10pm. You can catch all of the action, starting with pregame coverage on WISR 680AM.
