West Penn Power is planning tree trimming work in several local communities in the upcoming months.
FirstEnergy says work is planned around the Butler County area, specifically in the municipalities of Parker and Portersville.
Tree trimming is done on a five year cycle by qualified contractors. The goal of the trimming is maintain the health of the tree while also maintaining safe and reliable service for customers, officials say.
Customers living along power company right-of-ways will be notified before any work is done.
