The Pennsylvania Sports writers announced their All-State basketball teams over the weekend. Sam Breen of Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic was named the girls Pennsylvania Player of the Year in Class 4-A. Pine-Richland’s Amanda Kalin was named Player of the Year in Class 6-A. Robby Carmody of Mars was named to the Class 5-A boys first team. Pine-Richland’s Andrew Petcash was named to the 6-A first team as was Nick Smith of North Hills.
