The Pittsburgh Penguins host the Columbus Blue Jackets in a critical Metropolitan Division match-up tonight at PPG Paints Arena. It is their final regular season home game. The Penguins begin the night one point in front of the Blue Jackets. Columbus have already set a franchise record with 106 points this season. The Penguins are two points from tying their best regular-season point total, with four games remaining. Face-off is 7pm. Pre-game on WISR 680am will be 6:30pm.
The Pens will visit New Jersey Thursday. They wrap-up the regular season in Toronto Saturday night and against the New York Rangers Sunday night.
The NHL has decided not to participate in the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea. The league would have had to adjust its 2017-18 regular season schedule to accomodate the games. NHL players were permitted to compete in the last five Winter Olympics.
