The Pittsburgh Penguins were handed a 6-2 defeat by the Philadelphia Flyers on the ice at PPG Paints Arena last night. The Pens allowed four goals in the third period. Goaltender Matt Murray stopped only 27 of 32 shots.
The Penguins have seven games remaining in the regular season. They are tied with Columbus for second place in the Metropolitan Division.
The Pens host Chicago Wednesday.
Conor Sheary left the game with another injury. The Pens are still playing without Evgeni Malkin.
