The Slippery Rock University football program will host a “Pro Day” Thursday at Mihalik-Thompson Stadium for select players to showcase their talents in front of professional scouts. The event will begin at 8:30am with an indoor session that is closed to the public, but on-field activities in the stadium begin at 9:30am and are open to the public. A total of 12 former Rock players will participate including running back Shamar Greene, and cornerback Titus Howard, who has declared for the NFL Draft as a junior. Butler graduate Bob Vernick will also participate. Greene is the all-time leading rusher at Slippery Rock, who had his senior season cut short due to a shoulder injury.
