Hundreds of people are set to participate in a stationary bike marathon for charity this weekend at Slippery Rock University.
The seventh annual Race To Anyplace will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Aebersold Recreation Center to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Teams of up to 12 members must guarantee at least $500 in donations to reserve a bike. The day will also include free t-shirts, refreshments, and a DJ with music to keep participants pedaling.
Last year, 35 teams with over 300 participants raised almost $28,000. This year the group hopes to achieve $30,000 for research and family support programs.
