The Mars boys basketball team was knocked out of the WPIAL 5-A playoffs last night by Hampton 61-59. Hampton moves on to face Moon in the championship game this weekend. Moon eliminated Chartiers Valley 65-43.
Mars has already qualified for the state playoffs.
The North Allegheny girls will meet Bethel Park in the 6-A championship after defeating Mt. Lebanon 61-44. Bethel Park topped Penn Hills 41-36.
Tonight:
The Butler boys meet Woodland Hills in the 6-A semi-finals. The game will be played at Fox Chapel high school and begins at 6:15pm. Hear the pre-game at 6pm on WBUT 1050am and at wbut.com with Tyler Friel.
Pine-Richland and North Hills meet in the other semi-final.
