The Pittsburgh Pirates lost to the Toronto Blue Jays 12-0 in exhibition baseball Tuesday. Pirates starter Ivan Nova completed two perfect innings, but reliever Tony Watson allowed three earned runs on four hits in just 2/3rds of an inning. The Bucs bullpen allowed another seven earned runs. Nova was so efficient in his outing, he had to throw another 15 pitches in the bullpen after his outing.
The Pirates host Minnesota this afternoon.
