The public is invited to take a closer look at three exhibitions of art with close ties to Slippery Rock University at the Hoyt Center for the Arts in New Castle.
The first spotlights more than 50 years of ceramics by former SRU art professor Richard Wukich. Wukich has shared his passion for art by empowering disadvantaged students and helping to raise the profile of art educators.
The other two exhibits at the Hoyt Center include Prints by Potters on loan from SRU’s permanent collection, as well as Convergence in Landscape which represents a collaboration between academic departments while on a 2015 field research trip to South Dakota.
The exhibition will be up through March 24th. A reception for SRU students, faculty, and alumni at the Hoyt Center is scheduled for this Thursday (3/2) beginning at 6 p.m.
