The above average, and somewhat bizarre, temperatures we’ve been enjoying for the last week are quickly coming to an end.
But not before a record-setting day today (FRIDAY).
According to Meteorologist Scott Harbaugh of WPXI-TV in Pittsburgh, our news partners, we broke the 70-degree record in Pittsburgh at 11 a.m. when it hit 71 degrees in the city. That record was set in 1906.
The National Weather Service is expecting it to hit 76 degrees in Butler before day’s end.
But, conditions change pretty rapidly come Saturday. Rain and thunderstorms will move in and the temperature will drop throughout the day…hitting 43 degrees by 5 p.m. and then 25 degrees by day’s end.
Sunday’s high is expected to be near 40.
