Students at Slippery Rock University are invited to participate in an event tonight and learn more about challenges experienced by the physically disabled.
A Disability Sports Night will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the Aebersold Student Recreation Center.
Those who attend will have the chance to learn and experience sports like wheelchair basketball, seated volleyball, rugby, tennis, and track from a disabled person’s perspective. Pizza and beverages will also be available.
This event is co-sponsored by the SRU Recreational Therapy Club and the Adapted Physical Activity Council with a goal of creating a more inclusive environment on campus.
